Outdoor fireplace

Spending time with family and friends is inevitably one thing that each of us would love to do. That’s because bonding does not happen everyday and so if given the time, we’d simply do the best out of it. However, there are days wherein bonding moments with family and friends in our backyard would not be possible or would not be long enough because of the weather. Perhaps it’s too cold outside especially on chilly winter days. Having an outdoor fireplace is perfect for backyard activities, it adds to the warm ambiance helping us to stay outside longer even in the coldness of fall and winter mornings. With the help of outdoor fireplace we would be able to do more activities with our love ones. We’d have longer time talking and eating in the backyard while enjoying the magnificent glow.

Outdoor fireplaces also adds beauty to our backyards and verandas. Being able to choose the right style or design as well as right furniture you’d be able to evolve your backyard to an extended living area. College Degree Online

Four year in college is not enough to know everything under the sun. Well, we don’t really have to know everything but at least we know much and become much knowledgeable on our fields of interest. Most likely after graduation in college, the first thing that comes into our mind is to find a better job for the future. At times the wheel of fate gets us to land into a job which is not related to our profession, and if we’re lucky enough we get the job we like. So, to foster learning on that fields we exert effort to research or update our selves with new learning. Yes, we may learn from that but we cannot be efficient since learning would not be so strategic. Since working people no longer have enough time to come to schools to cultivate further knowledge or get another degree, distant studies or online schools are offered.

Online school is actually most favored by working people and with that we can enroll to accredited schools oversees. Online school helps thousands of people to continue with there studies in spite of the distance and of hectic schedules. Distant studies basically, help in fulfilling individuals’ desired degree and keep them in tracked with the career they have chosen.   

Pretty Christmas Lights

Four months to go and Christmas will be here again. When we were kids we always would like to think of Christmas because it’s the season of giving and because of this celebration we get gifts and toys from our parents, and relatives. On Christmas season we also go with our friends and sing carol to our neighbors. We always have great fun on Christmas day. Another thing that we like most about Christmas are the beautiful multi color led Christmas lights that glow all over the place. Since then and until now we adorn our Christmas trees with these beautiful lights. They are really pleasing to our eyes.

Since Christmas is coming, I already have prepared the things for Christmas. I tested the Christmas lights again last week I plugged them to the electricity to check how they work. It’s amazing, they still worked. Our multi color Christmas lights are 2 year old and they still worked.  So to make use of them, I temporarily put them in the ceiling of y kid’s room which serves as his night light.

 

Social Security Benefits

Life is uncertain you work hard for your future and for your love ones but you can’t tell and nobody can tell what tomorrow brings. When I was still working overseas, my dad keeps on reminding me to send my monthly contribution to social security. I at first ignore dad’s warning and thought to myself that I would rather save the money for myself so that I could use it in the future to start my own business. Well, that would not be that much when accumulated but it can help.

My dad did not cease on reminding me to send my share. He gets me to understand life’s uncertainties and that social security could help in any circumstances.  Dad explained to me benefits that I or my love ones could get out of social security such as pension when I am retired and old, social security disability insurance, medical claims, retirement benefits and all. I then get to realize that social security is really looking up to not only our welfare but also for our love ones. Now that dad is old and sickly I am seeing his point of urging me to keep on sending my share. He is now enjoying what he has sown.

School Improvement

It was Monday and the first day of school. I send my 10 year old niece to school. I saw the glow on all students’ faces, they were just so excited to meet their friends and their minds are focused for the study. As soon as the children get into their respective classrooms, we the parents were toured around the school, so we were able to see all their facilities. The facilities were not bad. We were not disappointed though but we take note of the things that would like to change or improve since the school principal asks for it. Well, yes inside us we feel like something has to be improved.

So during the Parents and Teachers meeting we tackle the things to be improved and among them are to put additional school furniture such as study carrels, and book cases in the library for the student to be able to focus on their reading and studies. Also we suggested that the Science laboratory furniture be replaced with much durable furniture. The parents and teachers worked hand in hand raised funds and in two months the library and Science laboratory looked a lot better with the new furniture.

Health Security

Health care is a plan for treatment and prevention of illness. Such is delivered by professionals in medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy and allied health. A health insurance keeps us at peace when in the midst of health crisis. Not all people have a health plan and yet not all people have availed of the best. About 15.3 % of Americans does not have health insurance. That means that 47,124,000 Americans are not cover of their medical bills.

My sister in law is among them. Every time she visits the doctor for her check up, she always complains about the charges and cost of prescribed medicine.  She keeps on reiterating that if only she has a health plan she doesn’t have to worry anymore about the medicines and hospital charges. So we talk about it. They are now living in Pennsylvania but her husband is originally from North Carolina and that most of her husbands relatives are there. Three weeks ago they left for North Carolina and said that they might be staying there for two months. I told her to rather get an NC Health Insurance since she will be having most of her check up there anyway. She told me that they already have talked about it and are actually looking forward on choosing a plan.

Don’t have Time to Exercise!

Suppose that, given your present work schedule, you feel you don’t have time for even the small amount of exercise described in my previous articles. There are other ways you can get exercise. For example, get out of bed a little earlier and use those few minutes in a brisk walk to the bus stop beyond the one you usually use. In the evening, get off the bus two or three stops earlier and walk home.

If you live or work in an elevator building, get off two or three floors below your destination and walk the rest of the way. Stair climbing is terrific exercise. (Remember the London bus conductors.)

Many practical everyday tasks also offer exercise opportunities. Car dirty? Wash and polish it yourself.

Taking a shower in the morning can be a good body builder. While drying, use your towel as a conditioning aid. Place it around the nape of your neck and pull it forward, simultaneously pushing your neck against it hard. Hold for two seconds. Repeat the process with the towel in the small of the back, pushing hard against it by tightening the muscles of your abdomen and buttocks to flatten your back. Hold for two seconds.

And stretch whenever you can. Push your chair away from the desk between assignments and lower and raise your feet, legs fully extended.

Another chair exercise: Grip the arms of the chair firmly, then relax all over, limp as a rag. It’s a fine aid to circulation, too.

Movement is life. Indolence is stagnation, which leads to ill health and early death. Take your choice.  

Bank Owned Homes

Every family desires to own a house. I and my husband are only renting an apartment for three years now and yes, we are looking forward on loaning a house and lot. There are lots of things to consider when hunting for a property. Finances are the major factor that needs to be considered.  One of our friends advised us that we’ll better off look for a residential lot for sale then apply for a housing loan. Others advised us to go for a low cost house.

One day, my husband was introduced to a real estate broker and in the weekend she invited us to check the houses. The houses were beautiful but awfully expensive.  My father advised us to check for Outer Banks foreclosures, wherein the property is cheaper because it’s sold by the bank as is, which means minor repairs will be our responsibility. Further, with outer bank foreclosed properties we are guaranteed that titles are not falsified and that the titles are clean at closing. We are actually taking dad’s suggestions and so we are checking outer banks foreclosed homes lists and we are excited.

Surest Way To Fitness

My husband is working on a call center industry outside of the United States and it is never easy; he have to work on North American Time which is as early as 5:00AM to 9:00PM Pacific Time, which means 8:00PM to 12PM our time. Because he works on night shift 5 days a week, we are in search for a fitness program that we can basically do at home, and food supplement that contains the most essential nutrients. He doesn’t take multivitamin pills as it has a very negative effect on him. We have tried several food supplements in form of juices and honestly we do not feel much of its effect on us.  Shakeology came to me as a word of a mouth but at first did not pay much attention to it because I don’t think that the price was reasonable.

After some time I consider checking its contents and was amazed. Shakeology contain over 70 healthy ingredients and is made up of essential amino acids, vitamins and minerals. It is also packed with 20 different anti-oxidants and phytonutrients which help eradicate toxins and discard stored fats. Being an Asian myself and of oriental or Chinese origin I am quite familiar with Chinese herbs that is incorporated in Shakeology and along with the rest of the ingredient added in Shakeology, I can definitely say that only the rich can afford. Speaking of exercise, we are also in search of a home fitness program for beginners. I’ve heard of Brazil Butt lift and it impresses me knowing that their Triangle Training method works all three major muscles of the buttocks from multiple angles to reduce your hips and saddlebag area, slim your thighs, and lift your butt without bulking up your thighs. I’ve learned through reviews that these Home fitness programs are great fitness routines add-ons for Gym Rats or athletes. I’ve also heard of Slim in 6, the product claims that in six weeks you’ll see significant results. Well, that sounds ambitious but their program really work for most who have tried. Slim in 6 is in actual fact a fitness course that is marketed chiefly toward women. Unlike some other fitness regimens, Slim in 6 places a spotlight on trimming the thighs, abs and buttocks. The program also provides a step-by-step nutrition guide, which would tell you exactly what you should be eating and how much. These great workouts for beginners offer immense importance to people that can’t meet the expense of a Gym membership or merely don’t like to hit the Gym. These fitness programs together with Shakeology are expected to provide great result.  It’s a combination that works like no other.

Some Ways of Exercise

  • Spread feet; hold hands out at shoulder height to each side. Now bend truck forward and fling arms around the right knee. Right knee can bend during the movement. Return to position and repeat to left side. Repeat six to fifteen times.
  • Stand erect; step sideward with right foot, hands to shoulders. Now breathe in and stretch hands upward while you rise on toes. Come back to starting position in reverse order. Start with four counts and work up to no more than ten movements, adding an extra count every three days until maximum count is reached.  
  • Lie on back. Lift feet off floor about two feet; hold for one second. Lift feet rest of the way up. Lower feet to two-foot position for an additional second before returning feet to floor. Repeat six to fifteen times.
  • Sit in floor, hands on hips, feet apart. Touch right hand to left toe and then left hand to right toe. Repeat six to fifteen times.
  • Stand, then squat, hands on floor near feet. Kick feet backward so trunk and legs are now straight. Bend arms and “dip” (do a push-up). Return to standing position and repeat.
  • Stand erect, feet apart, hands at neck. Bend trunk to left as you raise arms upward. Return to starting position and repeat to right side. Repeat six to fifteen times.
  • Stand erect, hands on hips. Raise right foot sideways, kick high, and return. Do same with left leg. Repeat six to fifteen times.
  • Run in place, raising arms and legs vigorously. Start with ten steps with each leg, work up to twenty.
  • Stand erect, hands on hips. Draw head backward and to the right. Do same to the left. Repeat six to fifteen times.
