My addiction to photography started when my boyfriend then (now my husband) came home from Korea with a digital camera. He taught me how to take good pictures and how to project when taken pictures.

I am not a very good looking person and as a matter of fact I never heard my dad call me pretty or beautiful. On our way home to the province to prepare for our wedding, my then fiancé took pictures of me. It was because of that digital camera and those pictures that I heard my dad for the first time appreciate my beauty, I almost cried. Until now I keep that picture which makes dad appreciate my beauty much.

I had been dying to get even just and entry level DSLR. I’m sure I would be able to take more beautiful picture with that. Digital cameras help me appreciate every single tiny detail of subject in the photograph. It helps me look for and see the rareness of the subject before my lens. It makes me appreciate God more and the beauty and uniqueness of His creation.

How do you keep in touch with loved ones, families, relatives, and colleagues when apart? Communication is the bridge towards keeping a healthy relationship. It is also the means towards achievements and successes at work.

When apart we commonly phone our peers, relatives, families, and co-workers. Phoning is the most common way to communicate when apart. Nowadays, we also communicate through sms (commonly known as “texting”), and chat (text chat or video chat). I first enjoy video chat and later on video conference at yahoo, then with Windows Live or Aim, and lately Skype. Video conferencing for me is so far the best way to communicate with family and relatives living far apart. One thing that makes kind of frustrated with video conferencing service that I have tried so far was the quality. I hate it when the video keeps freezing and the voice is choppy, or when there’s much statics.

I’ve learned of a new video conferencing services that I believe would satisfy me, it’s called “Teem.” The program is user friendly, video and voice quality is superb. Music and Videos editing and conversion are few things that my husband has been dying to learn. As a matter of fact our computer is filled with several music and video editing programs that he is wanting to master. Though he has used many of these freely downloaded programs, none of them had fully satisfied him as none of these get him what he wants all at once. He has to use several programs for him to get what he wants. He wished he had all features integrated in one program.

Among the programs my husband uses are video and music converters. He uses them every time he wanted to upload music or videos of different format to a portable devices or players. YouTube is one of my husband’s favorite sources of music and videos. Using a free program, my husband is able to enjoy YouTube videos in his portable devices. Grabbing music and videos was made easy. He simply picks videos from YouTube to mp3 downloader and in a minute he gets the video downloaded and converted to mp3 format or to another format he likes.

These converters have been a great help to him; in his presentations and in most of his projects. It is of this that my husband is greatly appreciative of this simply, free, and downloadable, programs.

Nurse Uniform

Nursing has been one of the in-demand professions in or out of the country. It is of this reason that more and more people decided to take nursing degrees. Nurses have never failed to impress me. Their uniforms now look nice and trendy. When I was a kid and until I was in college, I notice only one type of uniform nurses have, and that is their clean yet boring white uniform.
Nowadays, whenever going to work, clinics or hospital for checkup, I can’t help but notice and appreciate these new nurses uniforms. They look so cool and pleasing to the eyes, it’s no longer the boring plain white (though plain white are still primarily used). Some colors are now added as details to the nurses uniforms and scrubs and they really look great.
My cousin got one for herself, which she purchase online and presented it to the hospital where she is working. The hospital gladly took her suggestions and so they now have two additional uniforms that they wear on specific or certain days of the week.

Knocked-out Tooth

If one of your teeth is knocked out of its socket but not broken, it’s often possible for your dentist or doctor to reimplant it – if you act quickly.

A healthy tooth roots is held in its socket by ligament tissue. Some of this tissue remains on the root of a tooth that has been knocked out. Keeping the ligament tissue intact until the tooth can be put back into its socket is critical for a successful re-implantation.

If you have tooth that’s knocked out:

Don’t touch the root. Touching it can damage the ligament
Remove any dirt by rinsing the tooth in a bowl or glass of clean water – not by rubbing or scrapping the tooth.
Try to replace the tooth in its socket and bite down gently on gauze or a moistened teabag to keep it in place. If you can’t replace it, put the tooth in milk, in your own saliva, in warm salt water, or between your check and gum.
Immediately see your dentist or go to the emergency room, where you tooth may be able to be stabilized. Successful reimplantation is more likely if the tooth is in its socket within about 30 min.

Even with a successfully reimplanted tooth, tissue inside the tooth (pulp) eventually dies. You’ll need a root canal treatment to keep the tooth functioning properly.

Jobs Amidst Difficulties

When attrition hits US few years back, a lot of people has been much affected. A friend of mine was laid off from his job and so decided to become a taxi driver to sustain his family’s need. He’s got two kids to raise and his wife does not have a job.

The kids will start school and money is much needed. Amidst the difficulties they have to decide to return to their homeland where the cost of living is much cheaper. Coming to homeland is not an assurance either since they still have to look for jobs to support the family. They began searching for jobs in the internet.

My friend thought of sending his wife and kids to their homeland but thought that he can’t live without seeing the kids grow. His family is all that matters to him. They then decided to stay however his wife has to do housekeeper jobs to help sustaining their needs and still able to help their parent back in their homeland. So much job can be found online. You can either apply for jobs or request for a worker.

Saved Boxes

My husband love to shop on-line, and I must admit that on-line shopping is real convenient. The only inconvenience that I am getting here are the turned-out useless boxes that we my husband dumped at our storage room almost every time he receives his packages.

Sometimes the packages that are delivered to us are wrapped with packaging tapes. Perhaps the carrier wrapped them when the boxes were damage during shipment. Because of this we end up pulling the adhesive packaging tapes and damage the box. We use scissors too but in most cases we end up tearing them apart because they are not cut right.

I throw away boxes that are not properly cut. They seem useless to me. Lately my husband ordered box cutters and they are perfect especially the one that has edge guide, it help us cut boxes straight. I wish we have had this long before. We could have made use of those package boxes.

Eyelash Enhancer

Have you ever trim your eyelashes? Looking back to my younger years makes me laugh. I am not vane or so but I believe all women would like to be beautiful especially when you are young, and so was I. I’ve got a Chinese blood and so I’ve got silky white fair skin. Unlike typical Chinese my eyes were not small rather they are animated. The only problem is that my eyelashes were short. When I was at my teenage years many people have noticed my eye and so I receive a lot of nice comments. Though, a lot of people also commented that they could have been more beautiful if my eyelashes were longer.

I began hearing people say that trimming eyelashes will trigger the lashes to grow longer. I also hear people saying that there are products that would grow eyelashes. I was young and impatient to become a lady back then and I think I hear enough of comments from people saying that my eyes could have been more beautiful if my eyelashes were longer. I know longer lashes will make my eyes more beautiful, I’ve got no money then and I can’t wait to have a hold of eyelash growth products that work. I did the craziest thing to my eyelashes; I trim them.

What I did was ridiculous. That act makes me feel terrible. I took a while for my eyelashes to grow back to its original length. They did not grow longer. I wish I did not hurry up and just have waited for the eyelash growth product.

The other day my husband went out to party with his colleagues while at the lounge, one of his colleague began to ask about the insurance coverage that their company have provided to them. Well, it’s not small and not big either. However the topic gets them to fonder how valuable life is. Moreover, the discussion gets them to think more of their love ones. What if something happen to you and you will be out of the picture? Will your insurance be enough to take care of the expenses? Will your family be left with substantial amount for them to start a new life?

We all know that life is priceless, no amount can equal to moments that we spend with our families. However, we all know that life is uncertain, and in this world we are all passing through.
