Sometimes the packages that are delivered to us are wrapped with packaging tapes. Perhaps the carrier wrapped them when the boxes were damage during shipment. Because of this we end up pulling the adhesive packaging tapes and damage the box. We use scissors too but in most cases we end up tearing them apart because they are not cut right.

I throw away boxes that are not properly cut. They seem useless to me. Lately my husband ordered box cutters and they are perfect especially the one that has edge guide, it help us cut boxes straight. I wish we have had this long before. We could have made use of those package boxes.

I began searching for solutions to this problem and so this resulted to buying a file of bean bags. Well, thing got better for him, he sleeps more comfy on bean bags but I see that this is not good as his body could not be in right position when sleeping. Moreover, his body usually sank into the bean bags after few hours sleep and in turn he complains on back pains or body pains.

A friend of mine suggested body pillow. I previously got one for him however he does not use it much because my kids sleep on it more. They sleep more comfortable with it. As a matter of fact my husband suggested that we’re going to get more of it so we will have enough.

Baby Nursery

Coming up with a baby nursery has been my husband’s dream. Three years ago when I conceived our first child my husband thought of turning our spare room to a baby nursery. However, that room needs major renovation and it would cost us much if we do so.  We were only renting that house and plans of buying our own house was just round the bend. So that dream was cancelled.  Our first-born is 2 year old now and our second baby is on the way.  We’ve just move to our new house and the plan of having a baby nursery is about to be materialize. 

There’s much to be considered when customizing a baby nursery.  Nursery theme is what it is called. Our first born is a boy and this precious one on the way is a baby girl. We’d like them to share rooms for now so we are thinking of a unisex children’s room or baby nursery.  Here are few that need thinking of.

Lighting

Creating a room that is conducive to sleep is very important, particularly to infants and toddlers. The amount of daylight should be moderated that is why we bought black-out blinds. Yes it is important to have window treatments such as shutters and black-out blinds.

Layout

We are converting the darkest and shadiest bedroom in the house to a nursery as we see it to be more conducive for sleeping. Babies need more hours sleeping. Starry Night

Philippines have a lot of beautiful white beaches. Visiting these places on summer is more like visiting a tropical paradise. People walk around the white sands day-in and day-out. Camp fire her and camp fire there at night. People party all night long. Houses and resorts near by also have outdoor fire pit and fireplace in their lawns.

A friend of mine own a home facing the beach in Bora and just on her backyard she places a starry night copper fire dome. The fire pit was unique as it’s standing by its name, its really starry. Its elegant and it gives off romantic atmosphere as soon as fire starts burning on sunset. Her family and friends usually gather around the fire pit in the backyard at night. It is were they chat, drink and sometimes eat dinner.

I developed asthma when I was 21. That was when we were mountain climbing; we rested from a long ascending walk. We were all sweat and one of my co-climber threw me to the water falls. Since then I became very sensitive to dusts and dirty air. My husband is also the same. Humidity, dust and dirty air make him sick. He’s got what we call allergic chronitis. We need something to purify the air. We installed an air-conditioner in our room. Well air-conditioner was a great help in keeping cool air, somehow it’s able to filter some dust, but we don’t think it’s the appropriate machine to purify the air. Aside from attending to my love ones needs everyday, I have to consider keeping our home. Have to make innovations to live that comfortable environment that we have and at the same time improve our house.

Lately I tried experimenting with furniture in our living room in the second floor as I want it to look fresh yet with touch of style and elegance. I browse magazines to get ideas and I am convinced that modern furniture which does not occupy much space will do the trick. It is not easy keeping our home as we do not have much financially. So I thought of getting furniture that is inexpensive. Improving our homes does not have to be expensive. Choosing the right inexpensive yet elegant modern furniture in most time does the remodeling trick.
