It is a sunny day. First day of September and I feel the fresh air of December. A feeling that another year to comes for a new challenge of life.
We have a long and great weekend. Thanks to holidays and my husband was able spend quality time with us without filling any vacation leave. While we were in the bus, we talk about having our own car for convenience and business purposes. It would be easier for us to get to work when we have our own car. My husband adores these new cars from Mazda. Moreover, he loves SUV as it sure is a family vehicle.
My only concern is the maintenance. My husband and I love the outdoor and soon our children may develop the same passion too. I would be hating mud in our soles and in the car floor. My husband assured me that car floors would be easily taken cared of with car mats. My husband is a car enthusiast so most likely he knows where to buy quality accessories such as Nissan Murano custom floor mats for our dream car.
Surely if we get another time such as last week, it would be more enjoyable and convenient. Surely our joy will be full.
I still remember when roller-skating became so popular in our place. I was in my teens when roller-skating became a fad. Almost everyone of my age have their own roller-skates. I envy them because they have what is in and it was just impossible for me to have one then since we were poor and our parents could hardly afford a beautiful school shoes.
Anyhow, those years were not so good at all. Many teens had got into accident; many had broken their elbows and knees. My cousin was not an exception. He was a real good roller skater. He and his friends could really jump high on their rollers and they do many tricks. They really look cool. Good skaters like my cousin sometimes go way too confident that they refuse to wear safety gears such as knee pads, elbow pads, and helmet. He has been warned so many times to wear safety gears but he did not listen until one day he went out with his buddies and they did their routine. It was unfortunate of him, while jumping high he hit the tip of the blockage and he landed to the concrete knee first; both knees were injured. He badly tore the anterior cruciate ligament. Along with the other unfortunate skater he was brought to the hospital and was confined for two weeks. After which he came home on a wheelchair and acl knee brace on both legs. He was not able to walk for almost 3 month and they have a physical therapist to check on him three times a day. I pity him. Anyway, the acl knee brace had been a great help to him. In fact without it his recovery would never be fast. He still use acl knee brace even after he was able to walk. Acl Knee brace has been his ultimate companion and help for about 6 months and he was so thankful for it. He gave away his rollers and never get back to skating.
Last Sunday was a very fine day. We went out to attend my husband company’s summer beach party and we enjoyed it a lot especially my son. We enjoy the beach, we bathe to the sea and the swimming pool, and my husband got a feel of his most loved sport, Rock Climbing. My husband has always been athletic since he was in university. He is not into basketball, volleyball, and not much football because of the height disadvantage but he has real passion for outdoor sports and speed.
While eating dinner my brother in law and my husband talked about starting a new business in the province. My husband thought of starting an ATV rental business in their place. Sure it’s going to be a new attraction and a hit since more and more tourist are visiting tourist spots around the region. The only problem we are seeing is that ATV parts and accessory is scarce or hard to find in the area. Sure it would be hard to find genuine replacement parts such as ATV tires, and other accessories.
Well, we are thinking over the possibility of pushing through with this venture as we are seeing more issues. Getting a business permit may also be a problem since they do not have much political influence in the city. As for now my husband would still have check with motorcycle stores for the price of each unit.
I’ve never been interested with horses and equestrian not until the day my husband was confined in the hospital last year. We were in the hospital for a week and it was just the time when the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games Kentucky 2010 started. My husband being a horse lover watches nothing but the competition. I was left with no choice and so I watch.
We watch the competition everyday from day 1 which was September 25 until the last day which was October 10. We started day one at the hospital until the last day at home. I don’t know but it started my passion for the game. I began to appreciate the game thinking how the riders discipline themselves and their horses. Surely it’s not an easy thing to do. I also appreciate how they groom themselves and their horses. They look great on their apparel from helmet down to their riding boots.
I am looking forward to London 2012 Olympics where dressage, eventing and showjumping will be the competition of the big event.
Summer is here and the best thing to do on summer in tropical countries like the Philippines is to go on vacation trip to some beautiful resort and plunge in cool waters of the swimming pool or bask in beaches enjoying the cool summer breeze amidst the husky sultry sun. We already have planned for all these and we already have our schedule of activities. But before we do all that we will first do our kids one favor. We will be shopping clothes for summer.
My firstborn is now 27 months old and he have out grown most of his clothes even those oversized clothes that we bought for him when he turned 1 year. Those clothes are suppose to be for 2 – 3 year old kids, however he have grown so well that those clothes no longer fits him. Last summer we went to a 5-star beach resort where we get our son enjoy the water in the swimming pool. We had him wore his surfing clothes and he looked so cool with it. This summer we could not have him wear the same as he by far outgrown them. So we decided that this summer we’re going to him a new pair of surfing clothes and floaters for him to wear as once again we will be enjoying the waters this month.
This summer one of the things that I would love to do is to shop for my 2 year old boy and for my upcoming baby. I am on my fifth month and I believe it’s the best time to shop for my kids.
My husband and I were athletic back then so we both have our different favorite sport teams such as those in NBA, NFL, and the like. My husband pretty much have a wide collection of jerseys and team T-shirts and I also have few. We thought of having a sporty summer and wearing team shirts will make us look sporty. Perhaps on one day we will be wearing LA Lakers or San Antonio Spurs on another we will be wearing Raiders or Redskins.

- Drink more fluids regardless of your activity level.

Five or six years ago, I was active in outdoor activities like mountaineering. Obtaining quality outdoor equipment was hard on my first year in mountaineering since financially I do not have enough. So I make use of some second hand outdoor equipment or sometimes borrow from some friends. I am a little choosy when it comes to outdoor equipment. I always make sure that all my equipment that I carry along with fits the activity and all lightweight.
Lightweight apparel and equipment should be preferred when you go backpacking or mountaineering. Just imagine the trouble you put yourself into when you climb or trek with heavy loads. My husband does event planning jobs. That’s what he does when he was with the Human Resources. So that is nothing new to him. His team plans for events to keep a desirable working environment, boosts workers morale, and promotes the company’s business. The company was used to simple gathering or events. Those events were not much organized, those were dull events, lacking life, and over time the attendance to every event gets lower. When my husband was transferred to the events department things got better. He’s got contacts to several friends who are professional event organizers and he made use of them Well, it’s a little bit expensive than the usual but it pays it. The fun, excitement, and promotion that the company got for every event worth more than the money they spend. For every event the company gets popularity and better review. Since then the company give the event planning jobs to the professional event organizers. Thing went well even after my husband left the company. His event organizer friends were thankful to him since they got contract from the company.
Last summer my sister-in-law went out for a vacation with her husband in North Carolina. They are living in Pennsylvania now, however her husband grew in North Carolina. That’s the good thing about it because her husband knows exactly where to go to make the best out of their vacation.
It was a sort of summer vacation and family reunion at the same time since they are there to meet with her husband’s father side relatives. To make the best of it the clan decided for an Outer Banks vacations. So they rented a huge vacation house in Outer Banks, North Carolina. I bet they really enjoyed their vacation in fact my sister-in-law took a lot of photos to share on her page.
Surely if we get another time such as last week, it would be more enjoyable and convenient. Surely our joy will be full.
